About Joe Monroe
Joe Monroe, founder and CEO of Consolidated Installation Support, LLC, is a visionary leader, proud U.S. Army Veteran, and a 2018 recipient of the Governor’s Award for Business Leaders. Under his leadership, CIS has made history as the first African American-owned construction company to win a prime contract with the City of San Antonio’s Transportation & Capital Improvements department — a milestone that highlights both his trailblazing spirit and commitment to excellence.
Originally from Garland, North Carolina, Joe is deeply rooted in values of manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and the uplift of others — principles he lives by both in business and in his community service. His impact stretches from Texas to North Carolina, where he is known for his generosity, leadership, and ability to inspire those around him.
Joe is a proud member of Now Word Covenant Church, where he helped organize men’s fellowship events — including the popular Sunday morning breakfasts and the renowned All White Party, a celebration that draws attendees from across the region. He is also an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, through the Alamo City Ques chapter.
